Centuries ago, a local Count created a haven in the hills surrounding the ancient walled city of Lucca. Today, Villa Brielle is an elegant and exclusive Tuscan retreat, immersed in a splendid parkland of ornamental ponds, antique fountains, time-forgotten courtyards and lemon-scented Italian gardens. Twelve individually styled bedrooms, accommodating up to 24 guests, reflect gracious living blended discreetly with the traditional Tuscan hamlet style of wood-beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and warm, welcoming colours.

Reception rooms include a wine library housing a private collection of Tuscan wines, a card and billiard room, a domed music room with log fireplace, a grand banquet room, a large Tuscan kitchen, several comfortable lounges, and a workout room. With original features and picturesque views over the surrounding hills and olive groves, Villa Brielle offers beauty, tranquility and charm—an ideal setting for family and friends to gather over timeless, memorable days.

Surrounded by hills once filled with wild boar, the estate began as a hunting lodge retreat for a noble Lucca family who spent their weekends in the countryside. This family played an instrumental role in the administration and politics of the Republic of Lucca, serving as magistrates from 1388 through to 1798, and continued to hold influence into the Napoleonic era. During this period, the estate expanded into a small village for its workers, including an olive press, bakery and chapel—traces of which remain woven throughout the property today. Villa Brielle offers an experience shaped by heritage, elegance and the timeless beauty of the Lucchese countryside.
