Villa Dahlia
Surrounded by the famous rolling green hills lined with cypresses and embraced by 30 acres of vineyards, olive groves, forest and a lake, Villa Dahlia, with its magnificent position overlooking Florence, is a true postcard image of Tuscany.
The estate is made up of a 14th Century Hamlet and a farm that produces excellent quality IGP olive oil. It is ideally situated a few kilometers to the south of Florence, right next to the heart of Chianti’s countryside. Here, you can experience the charm of rural Tuscany, while remaining close to Florence’s art, history, and architecture.
During the XV century, the hamlet was owned by the most well-known Renaissance family of painters in whose workshop many apprentices, including Michelangelo, learned the fine art of painting. Being their summer residence, the hamlet was not only a place to reunite the family and to relax but also a location to host some of the most prominent artists of the Renaissance, including Raffaello, Pontormo and Botticelli.
