Casa Mona

Casa Mona is a home that reflects the spirit of this special land. It invites you to explore the local artisanal culture, the richness of the flavours, and the real, authentic soul of the Langhe.

Formerly used as a rectory, the archetypal forms of peasant life in the Langhe are embodied in the humble details and confined spaces that have been meticulously preserved during restoration.

The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary tools, handmade ceramics, and the highest quality linens. The lighting and seating are vintage Italian design; the décor is custom-designed and made with Trani marble and antique elm wood. The floor is made of original tiles dating back to the 1950s, all of which have been restored with care.

With an intimate and comfortable atmosphere, the lounge is dedicated to the pleasures of the table. Here, you and your guests can indulge in a simple meal of fine cheeses and cured meats, a wine cellar with over 100 labels of fine wines from the Langhe, and a selection of luxury spirits and cocktails. Overlooking the indoor garden, the loft is dedicated to music and reading. An antique media centre houses a collection of more than 150 vinyl records, CDs, books by local authors, and board games.

The hidden garden features a dining area, a stone pool, and a solarium. In the center, there is an ancient well with a fascinating history behind it. The garden is devoted to herbs, as well as beautiful hydrangeas and peonies in season. A one-hundred-year-old vine climbs up to the first-floor balcony reminding you of the regional wines.

Remote hills form a landscape unparalleled in every season: silent and ethereal under a blanket of white snow, melancholic when covered by the veil of fog, lush and verdant with the arrival of spring and summer, and fiery with spectacular colors in autumn.
