San Lorenzo Mountain Lodge, situated at an elevation of 1,200 meters, over-looks the Badia, Pusteria and Aurina valleys. The estate and its 17-hectare grounds afford breathtaking views of the Dolomite mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and SouthTyrol’s spectacular landscapes. The hunting lodge’s illustrious roots date back to the six-teenth century, when the Bishop of Brixen built and owned it. Giorgia and Stefano Barbini have accomplished a true metamorphosis here, creating a luxurious retreat that satisfies the high standards of its guests without forsaking Alpine charm or the building’s intriguing past.
Today, the mountain lodge offers discerning travelers from around the world an elegant and exclusive private holiday retreat. In addition to four bedrooms, which have been individually designed and sleep up to 10 people, the lodge has a compact yet wonderfully appointed spa, a stylish lounge with fireplace, a cozy Stube parlor with adjoining tea room,an outdoor whirlpool with spectacular views, a fine wine cellar, and its own private helipad.Since September 2012, San Lorenzo has what is thus far the only private golf course in the Alps – for the exclusive use of lodge guests. This is chic, low-key, and utterly private luxury at its most authentic.
